The wedding ceremony was held at a lovely church in Kirk Bramwith, Doncaster were I played a selection of songs whilst guests were being seated by artists including The Stones Roses, The Verve, Neil Young and Coldplay. Dani decided to have the traditional wedding march for walking down the aisle, then I performed two beautiful songs during the register signing which were ‘In My life – The Beatles’ and ‘Baby I’m Your light – Richard Hawley’. When Dani first contacted me and asked If I would be able to play a Richard Hawley song during the Ceremony, I knew I wanted to be involved in this wedding!
After the ceremony the newly weds and their guests hopped on an amazing vintage bus, which took them to the wedding reception venue The Hostel in the village of Hooton Pagnell near Doncaster, South Yorkshire. I’ve been lucky to have provided live wedding entertainment & DJ packages at The Hostel, Hooton Pagnell a few times before so I was excited to be back again. This beautiful tudor building in the picturesque village of Hooton Pagnell provides the perfect setting for a relaxed and informal wedding.
As guests arrived at The Hostel I performed a 90 min set on the front lawn, whilst guests enjoyed welcome drinks, canapés & photos. Dani & Dan picked a fantastic set list (and probably my favourite to date!) which included artists such as Johnny Cash, The Smiths, Bob Dylan and Oasis.
