Earlier this month I performed at Lisa & Paul’s wedding at Chalkney Water Meadows in Essex – Being a wedding singer in Yorkshire, this was quite a trek! Lisa contacted me as they were looking for something a bit different, and who would fit with their festival themed wedding. As soon as I looked at the venue I knew this wedding was going to be extra special!
The venue lies on the riverside meadows of the Colne Valley tucked between ancient woodland and overlooking breath taking lake.

The ceremony took place at the edge of the lake, as guests were seated on hay bales. I performed ‘Blowers Daughter by Damien Rice’ as Lisa walked down the aisle, and for the recessional they picked ‘Take over the world by The Courteeners’.
Following the ceremony guests enjoyed drinks and canapés outside as I performed another acoustic set
In the evening, after the meal I performed another set outside as guests enjoyed more drinks as the sunset. We then moved inside were I performed their first dance ‘Slide Away by Oasis. I actually couldn’t even hear myself singing because everybody was singing along! I then went straight into the DJ set to finish off the night. Here’s some highlights:
