For some people, love just can’t be postponed any longer, and they just want to get married. If you had originally planned a big party for your wedding with the idea of a packed dance floor, singing at the top of your lungs and jumping all over each other, scaling down to 15 or 30 guests would’ve been a huge compromise! Some couples who are still hoping that those things will be able to happen again in the future, are having to postpone their weddings into 2021 and beyond. But the future is very uncertain for all the entertainment industry at the moment, and nobody can predict how things will look in the coming months or years. This unfortunate situation has then made couples question the whole wedding and come to the conclusion of “we just want to get married!”.
Many couples are now deciding that although the restrictions mean they won’t be able to have the wedding they wanted, they are just happy to be able to still get married, with a few of their close family and friends around them. Some couples are also planning a small intimate wedding this year, and then a bigger party next year when restrictions will hopefully be eased. I recently performed at a wedding of 30 guests (which was originally mean to be over 100 guests!) and they have already booked me for their 2021 wedding party.
